Somi Sili: The First Lamaholot Woman to Lead PMKRI
REINHA.com – For the first time in its 20 year history, the PMKRI Larantuka Branch is now led by a Lamaholot woman. Her name is Maria Somi Sili. In the General Meeting of Branch Members (RUAC) which took place for two days, Friday and Saturday (26-27 June) at the PMKRI Larantuka Student Affairs Secretariat, Somi, as he is familiarly called, was appointed as the Mandatory Chairman of the Presidium of the PMKRI Larantuka Branch Leadership Council (DPC).
This decision is not just a change of leader. This is the breaking of the long silence that lasted for two decades, since PMKRI Larantuka was officially established through the Congress and MPA in Jayapura in 2006. A bold step that sends a signal, this Catholic student organization no longer belongs only to big names, but to fringe voices who dare to speak.
Somi, the first of five children who grew up in Kokotobo Village, Central Adonara District, was not born into a circle of power. He is a farmer’s son who is currently still waiting for the thesis trial schedule at the Indonesian Language and Literature Study Program, Larantuka Teacher Training and Technology Institute. So, when the mandate fell on his shoulders, he did not hide his emotion.
“This is not an inheritance, this is a calling. I am trusted, and it is courage that I hold tightly,” he said in a trembling voice.
Challenges are ahead. In the near future, Somi will prepare the DPC management structure for the next period. But he didn’t have long to adapt. Because, immediately after that, he had to fly to Jakarta to sit on the team of the Financial Audit Agency (BPK) for the PMKRI Central Management for the 2024-2026 period. The first big test will come at the Congress and MPA in Ruteng, next July. It was there that he had to prove that PMKRI Larantuka was not just present, but was present with guts.
“Be loud in a measured way, because silence in injustice is betrayal. For the church and the homeland, without compromise,” he stressed.
More than just a management formality, Somi wants to restore the dignity of PMKRI Larantuka through strengthening the DPC, involving alumni, and synergizing with the church and all stakeholders. He realized that this path would not be easy. But for him, it was just a reason to go harder.
“I didn’t come just to fill an empty space. I came to destroy old beliefs, convince the doubters, and prove that PMKRI Larantuka is alive, has courage, and is worthy of being taken into account,” he said confidently.
And he started to have one big dream, bringing the PP PMKRI National Study Congress (KSN) to Larantuka. A clear political statement, that Larantuka is not just a spectator.
“The choice is ours. Come, talk and move. Larantuka is waiting,” concluded Somi, as if challenging all cadres and leaders to have the courage to start from the edge.***(JMW)

PakarPBN
A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.
In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.
The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
