From Linggi to Service at the Southwest Tip of Sumba
Mawadda Rahmah started her education from a simple place, Linggi State Elementary School. It was in elementary school that he first encountered the world of learning, a classroom that may not always be perfect, but is full of meaning. From a simple wooden bench and blackboard, curiosity and belief grew that education is a path to change. The teachers at SD Negeri Linggi were early role models who instilled the values of perseverance, discipline and concern for others.
His educational journey continued to the next level. At every stage of school, Mawadda Rahmah not only learns about lessons, but also about life: about limitations, struggles, and dreams that must be fought for seriously. Awareness of the importance of education, especially for children in areas far from development centers, slowly formed his dream to become an educator.
The decision to pursue teacher education was not an easy choice, but was born from a calling from the heart and having to compete with dozens of other outstanding students from the District. Simeulue for the Integrated Teacher Education Program (PPGT) Batch I at Sanata Dharma University Yogyakarta. Mawadda Rahmah understands that being a teacher is not just a profession, but a service. He equips himself with knowledge, character and a passion for service, believing that the knowledge he has must be returned to society, especially those who need it most.
The culmination of her idealistic journey was realized when Mawadda Rahmah graduated as a Frontline Teacher ASN (GGD) and was placed at the Kalogha State Elementary School, Kodi Balaghar District, Southwest Sumba Regency, East Nusa Tenggara. This assignment is not just a geographical move, but rather a leap of service, leaving comfort to be present in an area that is challenging in terms of access, facilities and social conditions.
At Kalogha State Elementary School, Mawadda Rahmah is present as a teacher and friend to her students. He learned to understand local culture, build relationships with the community, and teach with sincerity despite limitations. Every step he takes in the classroom is a concrete manifestation of his commitment to make the nation’s life smarter, starting from the outskirts of the country.
The journey from Linggi State Elementary School in Simeulue, Aceh to becoming a Frontline Teacher at Kodi Balaghar is a story about the consistency of dreams, the courage to choose a lonely path, and the willingness to serve selflessly. Mawadda Rahmah proves that education is not about how far a person goes to learn, but how sincerely he returns to share.
