Concerning Batu Ata Housing, Flotim Satpol PP Allegedly Doesn’t Understand Its Function

REINHA.com – The comfort of residents living in the Batu Ata Permai housing complex has recently been disturbed by the emergence of recent government pressure Magic Letter with orders to vacate houses and buildings currently occupied by residents.

However, the fact is that until now none of the recommendations in the LHP Inspectorate have been followed up by the Flotim Regional Government, said a source from the Flotim Inspectorate.

It was later discovered that Batu Ata Housing, which is managed by the East Flores Regional Finance and Assets Agency (BKAD), was known to have had a multitude of problems since it was built, starting from the land without a land certificate and ownership of the building which kept changing hands.

A letter from the Head of the Tree Bao Village, Larantuka District to the Inspectorate and the East Flores Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) some time ago raised questions from many circles regarding the authority of the Head of the Village in his involvement with the assets of the Flores Regional Government.

Responding to this matter, Anton Bulet Rebon, former member of the East Flores DPRD, also spoke.

Adonara’s son, a former member of the Flotim DPRD, condemned the procedures taken by the leadership of the Flotim Satpol PP in responding to the letter from the Head of the Bao Tree Village.

“This is the authority of the Regional Finance and Assets Agency, not the authority of Pol PP or the Bao Tree Village Head unless there has been a follow-up to the LHP and its recommendations,” said Anton Bulet.

Anton Bulet continued, the Tree Bao Village Head should know which institution has the authority to manage these assets and the Head of Satpol PP should also understand his duties and functions which are clear only to safeguard regional regulations and other decisions.

This asset is clearly still problematic and is under the control of BKAD Flotim, so the authority is this institution, not the Lurah nor Satpol PP. The task of the Satpol PP is clear by law, to safeguard regional regulations and other Regent decisions.

“According to the inspectorate, this is an asset that is already with the LHP and the recommendations have not been followed up, so it would be strange if the Satpol PP took over matters for which there has clearly been no decision,” explained Anton Bulet.

Moreover, the fact that the field is clearly being rented out and bought and sold. For this reason, it is necessary to enforce overall enforcement by the Regional Government according to LHP recommendations instead of the Village Head and Satpol PP taking the law into their own hands according to their wishes without a clear basis.

Anton Bulet said that bad mechanisms in bureaucratic governance tend to give rise to corruption cases. The learning process should have been made by referring to the reference questions on Flotim.
