Strong winds, residents’ houses in Leraboleng village hit by trees

REINHA.com – Misfortune befell Miki Kumanireng, a resident of Leraboleng Village, Titehena District, East Flores Regency who was hit by a disaster due to strong winds which knocked down trees and hit his house (Monday, 12/1/2025).

To this media (Thursday, 15/1/2026), Miki Kumanireng explained the incident where a tree fell on his house.

“My wife and I were at home when the wind was strong and were shocked when the tree fell and hit our house,” said Miki to this media.

My wife and I, Miki continued, were hit by the collapse of the house, but fortunately we both survived and only the house was completely damaged.

According to Miki, this disaster has been followed up by the Leraboleng Village Government (Pemdes) by reporting this incident to the East Flores Regional Government, but there has been no response.

Regarding this disaster, Chief Executive (Kalak) of the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) Fredrik Moat Aeng, who was confirmed by the media (Thursday, 15/1/2026) said that he would immediately visit the location of the incident.

“Today the BPBD team will go to the location of the incident to see firsthand the condition of the disaster experienced by one of the residents in Leraboleng village, Titehena sub-district,” said Fredrik to this media.

“Regarding the current conditions, continued Fredrik, we have seen all the photos and videos of the latest conditions conveyed by the media so that the team will go directly to ensure the conditions can be followed up,” concluded Fredrik Moat Aeng. ***(MB/JMW)
